Kittens, I was spending my last two weeks in active testing of skin care products, which were kindly provided for review by the greek cosmetic brand Mastic Spa. My today's post is dedicated to three skin care products. This is a day moisturizer Day Prosun (series Hios Herbs), peel-off face mask Deep Hydra Mask (series Oinos Therapy) and lotion for the face Mastic & Olive lotion (series Mastic & Olive). I will tell you about each product and share my opinion about using them.
I have long wanted to try a product that combines hydration and sun protection.Day Prosun includes a moisturizing complex on the basis of the extractsmastic (this is such a mastic that is native to the Mediterranean), organic geranium, rosemary, wild mallow, horse chesnut, as well as vitamin E complex. Also it contains a UV sun block spf 15 (Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane). Contains silicones. The product has a pleasant floral-herbal flavor and consistency of sour cream.
My impressions about the product are dual. On the one hand it is nice to moisturize and provide sun protection, but on the other side the UV filter creates a pellicle on the skin, what is the cause of the appearance of acne on my face. In general, after three days of use, I was forced to abandon it. However, for those who do not have problems with acne this cream may fit well - it absorbs quickly and softens the skin.
I've firstly tryed (with the exception of the homemade mask of gelatin) peel-off mask. This mask of Mastic Spa contains extracts mastics, red wine, aloe, milk thistle, chamomile and horse chestnut. All this stuff should promote deep hydratation of over-dry skin with already visible wrinkles. Macs contains polyvinyl alcohol which is viscous and gets dry on the skin, is that same pellicle forming component.
I'll start with the bad - a box had no spatula or chopsticks to apply the mask, so I had picked Q-tips, and it's terribly inconvenient to use this way! During the application of the mask burns my skin a little, and I felt a slight discomfort. Maybe this is normal for this kind of masks, but I repeat, I use the mask first time. Despite the strange sensations, the effect of the mask was pretty good! Along with the mask, dead skin cells peel-off from the skin surface and the skin becomes soft and elastic to the touch. And, yes, the anti-wrinkles effect is undeniable! I have wrinkles on my bridge, forehead and around the lips and they become less noticeable. So I continue to use it once a week.
If we talk about the product, it is lotion for normal and dry skin, based on extractsmastic, aloe, chamomile, green tea, olive oil, macadamia oil, as well as pro-vitamin B5. Promises moisturizing and anti-bacterial protection, as well as refreshing effect.
My own impression is absolutely consistent with the manufacturer promises! First, the flavor! I'm just crazy about the flavors of Green Tea, so this lotion won me over. After the application there is a feeling of freshness, the skin is soft and gentle to the touch. This is my first lotion, after which I don't feel the need to apply a moisturizer. He is quite capable to compete even with high-moisturizing lotion from the Japanese brand Kinuyuki.
I am gonna do also a review on the shampoo and conditioner of Mastic Spa , but I'm now ready to say that my impression about the brand is rather positive. The Day Prosun moisturizer is not fit to me, and I just fell in love with Mastic & Olive lotion! The peel-off mask has a lack of spatulas or any other tool for application, it was not very comfortable to apply it with Q-tips.
